The Women’s Awards 2022 – And the Winners are…
A tribute and minute’s silence were given at the start of this year’s Women’s Awards in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. The event was held at Colwick Hall in Nottingham.
Sandra Pollock OBE, Founder of The Women’s Awards, said:
“Queen Elizabeth II demonstrated a commitment of service to others, to her role as monarch and nation. She has been an inspiring example of excellent female leadership and diplomacy. As our Awards celebrate female achievement it seemed only right to begin with the recognition of her example.“
This year’s celebration of female achievement saw the bringing together all shortlisted nominees from the East and West Midlands regions for the very first time for an event that was truly special in view of the circumstances.
In addition to the wealth of outstanding women recognised during the evening, there was the official launch of the SHINE Community Board, Chaired by Leanne Bonner-Cooke MBE. The SHINE Board has been created to support us in the development of further opportunities to support, bring recognition to and support the women in our community, and membership them in their development in career, business, and life in general.
