This award recognises the individual who has run their own business for more than 3 years and has achieved outstanding success in business in the past 36 months. Shortlisted Nominees may be asked to provide additional information to support their application.
Outstanding Woman in Professional Services
This award recognises the individual who has worked within the professional services industry for more than 3 years and has provided exceptional and outstanding services to their clients in the past 36 months. Examples of businesses that may qualify in this award category may include those in the Legal, Accounting, and Banking, or those who hold a professional license or certification to carry out their tasks.
Shortlisted Nominees for this category will be asked to provide additional information to support their application and to confirm the progressive difference they have made.
Outstanding Woman in Public Services (Including Uniformed services)
This award recognises the individual who has worked within the Public Sector Services for more than 3 years and demonstrated outstanding contribution over the past 36 months. Examples of public service sectors may include uniformed armed service, police, nurses, government workers, council workers, etc.
Outstanding Female Leader in a Market Town
This award recognises the individual who has made a significant contribution to the livelihood, innovation, business, and/or social, community stability and wellbeing of a market town over the past 36 months. For this award category, a market town is considered to be a small town in the countryside, that has a regular market and acts as a business centre for surrounding farms and villages.
Outstanding Woman with Community Impact (Charity & Voluntary)
This award recognises the individual who has made an outstanding contribution and impact across the charitable or voluntary community within the past 36 months. Examples of this category may include Registered charities, Community Interests Company (CIC), or voluntary organisations.
Outstanding Woman in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)
This award recognises the individual who best demonstrates the most outstanding contribution in the fields of STEM, within the last 36 months.
STEM industries may include physical, natural, and life sciences, electronics, computing, and technology-related disciplines, multiple types of engineering, and any field that requires a heavy application of mathematical principles. See some examples given below:
- Life sciences – Ecology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biology, etc.
- Physical sciences – Geography, Chemistry, Geology, Astronomy, Physics, etc.
- Social sciences – Economics, History, Sociology, Psychology.
- Technology – Web development, Information technology, Network security, Digital Automation, System administration, Computer science, Software development.
- Engineering – Civil engineering, Environmental engineering, Biomedical engineering, Aerospace engineering, Chemical engineering,
- Mathematics and Applied mathematics – medicine, computer science, etc.
Outstanding Female Leader of Global Majority
This award recognises the contributions of women non-white people of African Diaspora, Asian, Latin American, and Arab descent. Her impact and contribution must have been over the past three years or more.
This population constitutes approximately 85 percent of the global population. It is our desire to give recognition to this group.
Outstanding Woman in Art, Media & Music
The individual who has made an outstanding contribution in Art, Media or Music within the past 3 years.
Outstanding Woman in Education
This category specifically focuses on teaching and education in its widest fields and includes schools, colleges, universities, and other educational organisations. This category recognises the individual who has worked in this field (private, public, and community education) for more than 3 years and demonstrated outstanding contribution over the past 36 months.
Outstanding Woman in Care Services
This award recognises the individual who has worked within professional care services for more than 3 years and demonstrated outstanding contribution over the past 36 months within. This category includes the NHS, Nursing, Care Homes, Adult, and Children’s Services, private and public sector, and all care-related services.
Outstanding Senior Female Executive
This category is for individuals females who have held a senior role within an organisation for three years or more and can demonstrate outstanding impact and results she has achieved for their organisation and staff. Examples include MD, CEO, CFO, Founder, CFO, Chair, Director, etc., working in Public or Private companies/organisations.
Outstanding Female Disability Awareness Champion
This award recognises the individual who best demonstrates the most outstanding contribution to raising awareness of the issues of inequality faced by individuals and groups with disabilities, as outlined in the UK Equality Act 2010. This individual must be considered to experience a disability. Champions disability and accessibility in the workplace or community.
Outstanding Female in Construction
This award recognises the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the construction sector within the past 3 years.
Outstanding Female in Hospitality
This award recognises the individual who has made an outstanding contribution and impact in the Hospitality sector, whether in the direct support of the company or organisation within which she works, in running her own business, or community project.

Outstanding Male Supporting Female Leaders
This award recognises the individual who has made the most outstanding contribution to supporting women’s development, gender equality, and promotion.

Inspirational Female Leader
This award is not open for nomination. The Winner will be chosen by the Women’s Award’s Founder, Sandra Pollock OBE. The Judging Panel will make recommendations from the full range of nominations received. Sandra has the deciding vote on the Winner of this particular Award.
