Female Business Owner Survey
2 July 2021It goes without saying that the past 18 months have been challenging for all businesses, not only here in the UK but across the globe. Research of the wider business sector has found that female-owned businesses were more likely to have struggled and/or closed during the lockdown than male-owned businesses.
With this information in mind, we wanted to find out how the female-owned businesses in our regional area have feared during the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown periods. We decided to do some research through The Women’s Awards (WA) Female Business Owner Survey. If you’re a female business owner, we’d like to hear from you.
The purpose of this survey is to find out what your experiences have been during this time. We’re also looking to identify any specific challenges faced by female business owners in our regional area due to the pandemic, both in their work and personal life.
In addition to identifying individual challenges, we are looking to recognize any particular difficulties most commonly shared by businesswomen with a view of raising awareness and finding suggested remedies to address these challenges as we move forward.
In results of the research will go into producing a short report which will hope will also identify some of the possible ways that women in business could be supported. What could have been done differently and where could help and support been more effective? It is also possible that for female business owners in our region, the pandemic was a bit of windfall. What’s been your experience? Please complete the survey and let us know.
We thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey. All answers and information you provide will be kept in confidence and aggregated in our report.
